Accessibility

IncluLiteracy is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, the legal floor for public-school web content under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and we build toward Level AAA wherever we can. We test the reading, practice, and settings flows with a keyboard, a screen reader, and at phone, tablet, and laptop sizes.

• Read-aloud (text-to-speech) on every passage and word, always free, never behind a paywall.
• Generous letter and word spacing on reading passages by default, with finer control in Settings.
• Adjustable text size, line height, and an optional dyslexia-style font and reading ruler.
• Calm color overlays (pale yellow, blue, green, or pink) for visual comfort.
• Dark mode and a high-contrast mode.
• Full keyboard navigation, a skip-to-content link, and clear focus outlines. Drag activities always have a tap and keyboard alternative.
• Motion is kept minimal and respects your device’s “reduce motion” setting.
• Touch targets are large (at least 48px, and 64px for sound-box tiles) for motor accessibility, with switch and dwell input support.

We are actively improving. If you use assistive technology and hit a barrier, that is a bug to us. Please tell us so we can fix it quickly.
